VibyGymSF2014: The trip & the arrival

Hello Everyone!

I am going to write two posts today, since I arrived at the hostel very late yesterday...
This post is going to be about our trip & the arrival!

As told, we started our journey at 05:45 am, danish time, where we took a bus to Billund Airport. The spirit was high, and we were all tired, but in a good mood.
When we arrived at Billund Airport, all went smooth with check in, security and boarding. Sofie and I even did some solitaires while waiting at the gate.
But then we flew to Kastrup Airport in Copenhagen, and that´s when all went down hill.
When we arrived, we saw on the TV - screens that the plain for San Francisco was late with 2 hours! We all were pretty upset about it, but then we had loads of time to eat and relax, before the long flight. - I also ate lots of chocolate, so i would not fall asleep before the flight :) ! - and i ate a beef sandwich and burned my tounge on some tea... great job, Cecilie!
Then, when we finally was on the plane, it was 11 hours of flying(!), and i only got 5 hours of sleep, so it was many hours to kill! But i sat next to a swedish mom with the cutest little baby, with the name Agnes, and she was the the sweetest thing! She combed my hair with her tiny fingers, and hold my finger in her little hand, and she laughed and smiled, aww she wast so cute! :3
But when we finally arrived in San Francisco, we waited in line for over an hour to get through immigration, and my shoulders were very sore, because of my back pack. And i was really scared to go through immigration, since i have heard about all the strict rules here in America, but it went fine and there was no problem getting through. When we were through immigration, we found out Bjørgs suitcase was missing, so we had to wait another 15-20 min. before we could leave the airport. I feel sorry for Bjørg, because she will first have her suitcase in 1-3 days...
But then we could not find the bus we had ordered to take us to the Hostel, so that costed us another 20-30 min. of waiting, and i started to get REALLY anoyed. But then we found the bus, after been walking around in circles, but then we saw how beautiful San Francisco is by night, and everyone took pictures with flash, so we almost got blinded before we arrived at the hostel :P haha
But Adelaide Hostel is a lot diffrent than I thought. It is a little creepy by night, but it is very colorful and very amarican, kind of homey, but at the same time it feels a little cheap, but the beds are wonderful!
But when we had found our room, Cindy got sick, so the day was really chaotic! After we had found some food (cheap sandwiches ...) we went straight to bed, and lucklily Cindy was fresh and ready to go this morning, but i will write a post about today later!
I went to bed at 22:08 in San Francisco time, so it was a really long day with lost of waiting!
